Bandhavgarh National Park is a park with a long history. It is also known as the park with one of the highest Tiger densities and therefore makes it one of the prime destinations for Tiger Safari in India. Lush deciduous forest mixed with slabs of rock are towered by a gigantic plateau overlooking the park. The setting of Bandhavgarh is impressive – the ruins of the ancient fort, the archaeological remains of the Kachin period and the numerous prehistoric caves around the park provide a stunning backdrop. Like other parks, Bandhavgarh has been divided into zones. Sightings are generally quite good in all zones but the Tala Zone is considered the premium zone because of its tiger population and also attractions, such as the Bandhavgarh Fort and Vishnu Temple. Explore the beauty of the park and have unforgettable experiences. Although other zones are no less. Magadhi and Khitauli are both considered just great zones and tigers sightings have been a normal feature of all three. You can hear the Cheetal, Peacocks, Langoors and crows even giving out warning calls – which tell you that the Tiger is near.
The 3 core zones of Bandhavgarh National Park
Tala – Where the vast Chakradhar meadow gives way to the rocky hill topped by Bandhavgarh Fort. Halfway uphill, in a grove at the source of the Charanganga River, lies the statue of Reclining lord Vishnu. It is the popular safari zone of Bandhavgarh National Park and is famous for tiger sighting and usually it remains in demand
Magadhi – Another beautiful zone with mountains and meadows. Magadhi has surpassed the “star” zone of Tala for tiger sightings recently. Sometimes Sambar and spotted deer is visible in this zone. Dotty tigress and her sub adults are the imposing tiger in Magadhi Zone. Famous Charger point is also located at Magadhi Safari Zone
Khitauli – It’s one of the beautiful zone of the Bandhavgarh forest and has a great sighting of The Tigerress with cubs, leopards and sloth bears. This zone never ceases to disappoint when the visitors want to catch a glimpse of the leopard, blue bull, sloth bear and bird watching.
